Ascenz Electronic Fuel Monitoring System approved by Exxonmobil
Ascenz, a GTT Digital company, has been approved by ExxonMobil as an Electronic Fuel Monitoring System (EFMS) supplier after an extensive qualification process.
The Ascenz EFMS offers state-of-the-art digital technologies (mass flow meters and other electronic sensors, software and communication devices), combined in a single solution to enable, beyond the automation of analysis reports, a continuous monitoring and optimization of fuel consumption, emissions, bunkering and vessel operations.
Thanks to the combination of the expertise brought together within GTT Digital (Ascenz, Marorka and OSE Engineering), innovative functionalities and taking advantage of solid technical knowledge and advanced artificial intelligence have been associated with the EFMS, allowing significant improvements in ship performance management automation:
- Automatic Activity Detection performs a detailed analysis of the vessel's energy consumption using finely tuned algorithms and without any human intervention.
- The Speed ​​Optimization function uses machine learning techniques to help the crew set the appropriate speed for the transit phase to minimize emissions and fuel consumption;
- Additionally, the capabilities of the EFMS have been enhanced with torque meters to increase the accuracy of key performance indicators, such as Specific Fuel Oil Consumption.
